Alexa Red !!HOT!!
Does it support door lock/curtain/AV/TV or other types of devices?Unfortunately no. In order to keep this node so simple to use, it was designed to emulate a Philips Hue bridge & device within local network. Amazon Echo is hardcoded to support only on/off/dimming command via this route. Any other type of support has to go through the Alexa Skills route (cloud-based). There is another node does just that node-red-contrib-alexa-home-skill

Is this a direct replacement for node-red-contrib-alexa-remote2?In other words, do I just remove node-red-contrib-alexa-remote2 and install node-red-contrib-alexa-cakebaked? Or, do I need to edit every node with the same names?
This is where the Alexa-Home node comes in. The official name is node-red-contrib-alexa-home and this extension comes with two nodes: a controller and a device node. The controller lets you do some basic settings like the network port used for discovery while the device node lets you setup a virtual device. 041b061a72
